BaconReader for iOS offers an Explore feature that lets you search for topics or subreddits that interest you from a wide array of pre-defined categories.
Using Explore, you can also see the subreddit sidebar info for any of the listed subreddits by tapping the "i". You'll find the "Subscribe" and "Bookmarks" buttons on the sidebar, also.
