2.7.. not my favorite release

*Premium user

Using a samsung galaxy s3, when you click a thumbnail it just puts the picture in the thumbnail up in the foreground.  This picture is too small, text in the pictures is unreadable in most cases.  This is problematic in 4chan posts and comics etc.  There is no way to zoom in, you can't pinch the picture and zoom.  In 2.6 it would bring up the actual source like imgur which was zoomable.  Another issue is all gifs do not animate, they just show the first frame  of whatever the picture is static.  PLEASE remove this new feature or allow a way to turn it off.  It was much better and USEABLE the way it was before

Galaxy S2, I agree with everything Paul has mentioned. The way the pictures open now in the foreground significantly decreases the apps usability. You cannot zoom in on the pictures, and since I have my screen time out to 15 seconds by the time some links open the screen is off.To mitigate this I used to just tap the screen if it was taking awhile but now this closes the link and takes you back to the list of links. Also there is no longer an option, when the picture is open in the foreground, to open the link in a browser which is useful if a link is taking a long time to load or you want to save the image to physical memory. Personally, the way BR was before this release was optimal.

Xperia TL, Agree with everything said here. I was also about to make the jump to the paid version of the app, but it looks like I will be using reddit sync for now...

Completely agree.  Please revert these changes as soon as possible (I have a paid version and really liked the app after trying many others before).

Cannot say it enough.  The latest update is not the best direction to go in.  Wish there was a way to turn it off.

I can't see pics/gifs on my mobile either.

Is there some way to revert to the previous version?

Personally, I really like the idea of the Quick Image Preview, however I think its implementation should be changed a bit.  I would change the default action of tapping on the image preview to be taking you into the image link like it used to when you tapped the thumbnail.  So the flow would be Tap the thumbnail -> Quick Image Preview opens -> Tap the image preview -> Image link opens.

OneLouder already released an update with the option to turn off Quick Image Preview in settings (thank you !).  I think that I would like to use it if it were a bit more functional.
