Youtube and Baconreader

Hi, I have a problem watching YouTube posts in my Galaxy S3, as they appear as desktop version. So videos begin preloading while (and u can hear the sound) u are in the previous post (slideshow mode) .

I have checked if my brother has the same problem (Galaxy s3, same firmware and same reddit version). No problem preloading, and I suppose that is because it loads mobile version of YouTube

(mine of the left. both of us have checked 'load links in slideshow mode', so we don't have to press any button to show the screen) Why that difference? can I force to load mobile version to avoid preloading?

Can other users tell me which YouTube version show their devices?

Thanks!!

Are you both using the same setting for "Open links inside app?"

Are there any other setting differences you can see if you compare the two?

Same settings, and both of we have 'open links inside app' checked. But even unchecked my s3 shows desktop version and his mobile one.

Thanks for the response

Our QA Manager figured this out. It's the YouTube setting.  There's a little bitty menu onscreen one the desktop version that lets you select the mobile version. It's likely the desktop version got set as default on your device at some point.  She's putting together an update with screenshots and is going to post it to your r/baconreader post on the issue shortly to show you where the setting is.

I appreciate that. By the way, I tried pressing Mobile version in the bottom of the screen, but it didn't work (still desktop version).

I solved the problem deleting cache and data (from application settings). When I logged again it loaded mobile version again.

Thanks for your help and time

I think from what "OneLouderChic" told me, there are a couple of other steps to clear this up without doing that, but I think she's going to do a step-by-step when she gets a chance. I'm glad to hear that you are able to use the app as you wish now, though.  I think the QA team enjoyed troubleshooting this one a bit :)
