An example of how inaccurate 1Weather's data is - see attached screenshot.
1Weather: woefully inaccurate.
The UI and features are among the best I've seen out of other weather apps for Android, but the weather reports are woefully inaccurate in Adelaide, South Australia. I've had this app tell me it was 24 degrees when it was in fact a scorching 32 degrees outside, and the UV index report seems permanently stuck on "13/Extreme". It's beautiful, appealing, and feature-packed... but I can't use it because it simply fails at its primary function.

I've been having the same problem in Toronto for the past week or so....1Weather is always off by approx 5 degrees, lower than the actually temperature.
It's the same in Dundee, Scotland. Not only is the temperature always off by a couple of degrees, but the forecast as well. Forecasting storm when it's clear skies outside...
Attached screenshot comparing it to bbc weather which is very accurate.
Its the same for the states. Its reporting 68 degrees Fahrenheit where in actuality it really is about 84 degrees Fahrenheit. Fix this and I will gladly use your application.
When you see this discrepancy, would you please go into the app settings and select "Send Feedback" and select the "Location/Temperature Accuracy" item?
That will pop up an email you can send with the info we're getting for those locations from our provider so we can investigate. It's very difficult to troubleshoot without this info. We're finding that most of the discrepancies are for non-U.S. locations (there are less weather reporting stations available to us outside the U.S.). Each of these cannot be replied to individually, but I assure you they are reviewed.
We are currently working with WDT Inc. (Weather Decision Technologies Inc.) for our weather data.
The maps in the app are provided by Google, with radar / cloud layers provided by WDT.
If you are interested in learning more about WDT technologies, you can do so at http://www.wdtinc.com/wdtinc/pages/technologies.html
Hi Eric - I am glad to hear you are addressing this. I live in NY, NY and also find both current weather and forecasts woefully inaccurate, even after manually updating. This goes for radar and clouds, too, making me think WDT is the problem. I really like the app and will be glad to help by reporting errors as I see them. Thanks for caring!
1Weather is only capable of reporting what we're receiving, but the app is only as good as it's data, so we are always working to improve it.
Samme lure for me in Norway. You should change to a better weather provider for international
weather forecast. The one you are using now is simply not good enough.
Marius, reporting temp discrepancies using the instructions above in this thread is most helpful in improving service in your area.
