Tweetcaster Loses Position on Opening Link

I've noticed that Tweetcaster is great at remembering my last position, unless I click on a hyperlink in a tweet. After reading the article on the browser, if I return back to tweetcaster it scrolls to the top of my list. Please fix!

Hello,

Thank you for the post. We apologize for any inconvenience. I can assure you that timeline position is a very high priority issue with TweetCaster. It is a hit or miss depending on specifics of how your device's history works with Twitter's API upon opening the application and or links to photos, articles, etc. while in the application. Development is thoroughly investigating why it will work one time and then it won't for the next few. As of right now, I cannot provide you with a 100% resolution, but I can assure you that we are going to have it fixed soon. The next time this occurs, please feel free to hit your menu button and go into TweetCaster settings. Once you have done this, please select "send tweetcaster logs". This will send a log file to development notifying them of the timeline issue you are encountering and if any TC code is conflicting with it.  If you have any further questions or issues, please let us know.

Thanks,

Hello,

If It can help, the same problem occurred on my device till I did the last update today. (Version 5.9)

For now the problem has disappeared and TweetCaster works perfectly, after clicking on a hyperlink in a tweet and after reading the article on browser, TweetCaster is back exactly at the same position on the timeline.

I updated last night (I wasn't getting automatic update notifications because the Android Market was just changed to "Google Play"... wtf...) Hopefully that will do the trick. Thanks!

The problem was back a while after the update. I have tried different ways to solve the problem but I did not succeed. The only way to bypass the problem for the moment is to use the Read It Later option just after clicking on a hyperlink.

Updated and it did not fix the issue. Sent 2 sets of logs in - hopefully they can find a fix.

Has anyone else noticed if it tends to happen more often if you are reading a long article? For instance, it usually happens to me when I spend a few minutes reading something tweeted by Wired.com. But if I click on a link, and within a few seconds click back to return to tweetcaster, it doesn't seem to be a problem. Maybe tweetcaster is doing a refresh while we are looking at the website and that causes it to jump?

Since the last update, Tweetcaster Pro worked fine maybe after one or two clicks on a hyperlink and the problem was back as described before. I tried many things, to click the  "Home" button instead the "Back" button, etc. Stay a few seconds on the webpage or use the "Back" just after loading the web page didn't change anything. I even did a Factory Reset and flashed the ROM without more success. As requested I have already sent an error log via the application.  This problem is very annoying when you have a lot of tweets to read. As I have already suggested to the support team, It should be great to have an option as "Open in new window", or something like that when you click on a tweet (as with the official Twitter application), like that, when you click on "Back", you're on the last opened window. Just for information, when all works fine, when you're back after reading a web page, you're directly on the timeline, when it goes wrong, the TweetCaster starting page appears. I wonder If the application and/or the process aren't killed when the browser is launched. It's maybe a clue...

Just got an HTC 1X. Having same problem. Sure hope you get this annoying problem fixed very soon. Otherwise, you have a great app.

Would totally hate to have to go to another Twitter app.

I'm having this problem but on the windows application. Clicking links sometimes causes it to update but just leaving the application open as my timeline updates it'll scroll up. It's very annoying because I'll have to page down several times and wait for it to reload tweets even after 3-4 minutes.
