@Clay, FBM and FBX are both implementations of the Facebook mobile website - essentially reskins of m.facebook.com with some added functionality.  Since they are using the Facebook feed itself, they're not affected by Facebook security settings for 3rd party apps.  FriendCaster is a full application, not a reskinning of the mobile site, and uses the Facebook Graph API to pass data into FriendCaster and back to Facebook.  Applications using the Graph API are subject to the 3rd party security settings and when a user selects to block 3rd party apps, their posts won't appear in FriendCaster.  Facebook frequently updates their security policies and settings and we've found that some users aren't even aware that they have apps blocked.  This is perhaps the most frequent question we have about the application and in most cases users find that those not being shown are at least partially blocked in the  "How people bring your info to apps they use" Facebook setting.  It's also important to note that in some cases, the Graph API feed isn't in the same order as Facebook proper, so posts may appear at different places in the timeline or may be slightly delayed vs. on Facebook itself.

We don't have separate notification sound types at this time, but that's something that could possibly be implemented in the future.

@MattL I am having the same problem at @Bert F.  I am using the Samsung Behold II for T-Mobile.  Have you found a solution?

Same problem as Bert F and Tara. Tried to use Tweetcaster to post to FB, directed to FB sign in page then to solid white screen with small word 'success' in the top left corner. Does not redirect, unable to post to FB.

Uninstall, reinstall did not help.

Hi. I was messing with options on my phone and selected filter mobile posts without realising what it did. Now I can't get it back so I can't see any of the posts on my phone that I made from it. How can I get it back to showing all posts? Thanks, I'm on a Galaxy S.

@Feena, I assume you mean on FriendCaster?  If so, go to the news feed, tap "menu" then tap "Filters."  You will see a list of currently applied filters.  Tap to remove the filter you want to remove.

I'm have the same issues connecting to facebook via tweetcaster pro. I've uninstall, reinstall..didn't help, either. I kept getting the white page with the word "success". Is there any other solution to this? Btw, I even tried all the solutions posted on the knowledge base and whatever else I can find that directs me to do all the same thing.

For users experiencing the "Success" issue when trying to connect TweetCaster to Facebook, our Project management team is aware of the issue and is investigating if Facebook has recently changed any API settings. When a user clicks on the FB icon within TweetCaster it immediately re-directs them away from TweetCaster and into Facebook's API so that it can validate your Facebook credentials.

Once those credentials have been validated by Facebook, it should send you back to TweetCaster, instead, it is showing a message of "success" or a blank white page.

Some users have uninstalled and re-installed and have been able to use the "post to Facebook" functionality, others have not. It has been a hit or miss issue lately. We are making adjustments on our end as quickly and as best we can. For now, we would suggest to uninstall and re-install and if the error continues, to let us know.

I found the forum and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing the sync to Facebook problem. I've re-installed and uninstalled numerous times and this has still not fixed the problem for my HTC Desire which is a shame. I'm glad it's being looked into.

I just wanted to ask, I've told my brother about Tweetcaster and he now uses and loves it but I can't seem to find or help him find a way to change the themes or colour code his tweets etc like you can with mine. It states that this function is able on Blackberry but it's not under settings like it is for my HTC Desire. HELP! How we customise a Blackberry Tweetcaster??

Thanks :)

@Anais

Thank you for the post. The Blackberry version of TweetCaster does not currently have the option to select specific themes or color options. This is something that is being worked on for future upgrade. I have not received a specific ETA on when this functionality will be available but it is on the "to do" list. The following should be the description for TweetCaster for Blackberry on the App World:

The #1 Twitter app comes to BlackBerry®!

TweetCaster is the superlative Twitter app for BlackBerry®, with the richest, most innovative features! Designedspecifically with BlackBerry users in mind, TweetCaster was built from scratch with the latest features, but tailored to the BlackBerry UI and user experience.

TWEETCASTER INNOVATIONS:
- Share via BBM – TweetCaster is the ONLY Twitter app to allow users to share a Tweet with friends via BlackBerry® Messenger.
- Zip It – exclusive feature enabling a user to temporarily mute (a) person; (b) #trend ; or (c) keyword.

KEY FEATURES:
- Simultaneously post to Twitter and Facebook
- Maintain multiple Twitter accounts
- Retweet with or without comment
- Manage Twitter lists
- Advanced profile editing
- Use Twitlonger to make 140+ character tweets
- Nearby/Geolocation functionality
- Save and manage drafts
- Advanced search
- Full trending topics
- Instapaper support
- Share tweets to email, Facebook, and BlackBerry® Messenger
- Username auto-complete
- URL shortening
- Photo sharing
- Keyboard shortcuts
- All standard Twitter functions—reading timeline, viewing profiles, sending tweets, clicking links

If you have seen another description that lists color coding and or themes, please provide it to us so we can re-evaluate it. If you have any further questions, please let us know. My next post on this forum will be for all users experiencing issues with syncing to Facebook.

Thanks,

For ALL users experiencing issues with connecting/syncing with Facbook through TweetCaster. Please try the following:

 After it says "success", please click on your back arrow on your device and go back to the main screen where you logged in to Facebook's API. If clicking back does not take you back to the initial sign in sheet, close out of TweetCaster and go back in to where you initially login to Facebook through TweetCaster. Once you are on the initial screen to login to Facebook, please click on the statement "Try the alternative login". This is located under the "Login" button and under where it says "forget password". Once you click on this "Try the alternative login" it will show you the same login screen. Please try and login again and try and make a post. If you have any further questions or issues please let us know.

Thanks,

The alternative login worked! Yess! Thank you :)

And as for Blackberry - I looked everywhere and I had seen the description above but I also found this description too http://appseden.com/blackberry/social-networking/tweetcaster.html. Not sure of the other links where they listed colour coding as an option. I hope it's soon as my brother likes the app a lot but not the lack of customisation :)

Thanks Matt!

@Anais

Thank you for the response and link. When version 1.3 came out we noticed that was a mis-type on our part and had the color coding notification removed from the initial market. The list I pasted above was for version 1.5, which is the correct wording for the Blackberry version. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Thanks again,

why is the honeycomb/ICS version of tweetcaster missing a number of settings found in the gingerbread/phone version like changing themes and instapaper support?

I've had the following problem with the last two versions of Tweetcaster: in the compose tweet window I click the attachment button and then select any of the 3 options and immediately receive a notification that Tweetcaster is force closing.

I don't believe this was a problem until the most recent two versions. To trouble shoot I've tried force closing the app manually, wiping the app data, uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting my phone, wiping my phone's cache and dalvik cache, running Tweetcaster in compatibility mode and normally.

Nothing has worked. I am using a Verizon Droid X running Gingerbread.

@Andrew

We plan on adding those features to the tablet version here soon. I have not received a set ETA on when it will be released, but those option will be available on the tablet in the near future.

Thanks,

@Kip

The next time you run into this issue, please close out of TweetCaster and then go right back into it. Once you are back in TweetCaster, please feel free to hit your menu button > settings > send tweetcaster logs. This will send a log file directly to development for them to further evaluate the issue you are encountering. I will also report this directly to project management for further investigation. We appreciate you notifying us of this via your post. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Thanks,

I am using Samsung Epic 4G & have both Tweetcaster Pro & Friendcaster Pro. I love Tweetcaster Pro. I haven' had any issues with it in a long time. Friendcaster Pro gives me errors quite often. I've read solutions to some of the error messages I have received by reading this forum & I thank you for that. However, I have encountered a new error message & it is annoying me. I like to share stuff from twitter to facebook & do it a lot. Lately, after sharing for a while, I will get a message error from Friendcaster that says this: #341 Feed action request limit reached. I do not like that one bit! I even tried to copy & paste & got the same message. Please help me to remedy this problem. Thank you!

@Matt,
I just sent the log as suggested. After I sent it, I hunted down the log that was generated on my sdcard. It didn't show anything when I viewed it with the built in text viewer.... Am I missing something?

Hey, so just to let you know the Facebook and Tweetcaster issue is now back and alternative login no longer works. Once you click to alternative login, it takes you back to the original login and then if you sign in there too, it brings up the usual "success" white page. And no amount of un-installing has worked or clearing the cache or anything like that. It's one of my favourite Twitter apps and I'd rather not use another one, so please please fix it :)

@Tamaraih Thank you for the post. I replied to your email that you sent in through the ticket system. Just to make sure you receive your reply I will post the same response here:

"The image will be stored in your "albums" area under "tweetcaster". If you have any HTC device, to into your camera, click on the last image taken on your phone. In the lower left corner you will see a 3 lined icon, click on that. This should take you into your albums area. Scroll down and click on "TweetCaster". Your images saved through TweetCaster will be displayed in here. If you have any further questions or issues, please let us know."

Thanks,

Hi, I've been trying TweetCaster Free (before I go to pro) but whenever I click on a link from an e-mail to follow someone, tweetcaster takes me to a page that says "Webapi" @intent.

How can I fix that, it's very annoying because I can't add others to follow. Thank you.

@Dr T.M The issue you encountered with the Web API error is a listed bug and is set to be fixed. Project management is working through the list of reported issues for update/upgrade/enhancement.  At this time, I do not have an ETA on when this will be fixed/released, but it should be soon. If you have any further questions or issues, please let us know.

Thanks,
