hello berrydroid charles,

i just did a test prior to answering your query. i posted a tweet that is longer than 140 characters and it posted on twitter with a link to twitlonger.

i am currently using tweetcaster pro 5.1.

i hope your problem would be sorted out fast.

regards!

@BerryDroid Charles

When your tweet shows -4 etc. and you hit send you should see an option that says "Post with Twitlonger". If you select this option it will post your tweet with a link that extends your tweet. Were you encountering any errors when selecting "Post with Twitlonger"?

Thanks,

As mysteriously as it disappeared, it reappeared! :) Thanks! I'm thinking it was a twitter hiccup because I had issues with another app as well!

In Friendcaster when you choose "Upload" from the share menu, say you want to upload a pic from gallery. If you choose destination folder 1st and then go to edit caption, when you return to dialog box you will have to choose destination folder again. It returns to "no selection"  Samsung Galaxy S2x. It does same on my ASUS Transformer.

@Darren, we're looking into this.  We'll have an update with photo enhancements coming very soon.  Sorry for the trouble.

Any chance you've got plans to update Tweetcaster for better Honeycomb support?  Specifically, I'm looking for larger fonts, and dark themes.  Also....and I've had this trouble with my Gingerbread devices as well, Tweetcaster still doesn't remember my position in the timeline....but it's especially bad on the Honeycomb tablet.  I'm on a Motorola Xoom 4G.

Hi guys.  Amazing app.  I am also having the "doesn't always open at oldest tweet" issue, so I assume it is under consideration by the devs.

@Dawn Bennett: Thank you for the post. In regards to fonts on the Tablet version of TweetCaster, please feel free to click on the settings icon (gear icon located to the upper right from your profile pic) and then select "customize". Please feel free to click on the "font size" and select (Small, Medium, or Large) as needed. As far as themes go, I have not received a specific ETA on the themes, but they do show up in the future plans list. The timeline position issue has been very tricky as it is a "hit or miss" issue with specific devices. This is something that project management and development continue to look into. I have noted your device to put on a list to investigate. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any further questions please let us know.

Thanks again,

@Gord McFee The timeline issue is definitely under construction and is a very high priority. We continue to look for the root cause of the issue as it is a hit or miss issue on several different devices. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will have the issue resolved soon.

Thanks,

Hello, I'm running a galaxy tab 10.1 - it seems I can't add photo captions or create/name a new gallery when the upload photo window pops up. This occurs if I try and upload through the program Friendcaster Pro directly or via mass select in the default tablet gallery app.

@Tom,  I've been waiting for word from our development team.  They've isolated this issue and an update to fix this issue will be coming in a maintenance release later today.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you

I have FriendCaster 4.1.1 on my android phone, but it goes through phases where it wont allow me to update my status.  I get the box to fill in etc but when i submit it thinks about it then goes back to the box again.  Not always like this, just in phases at least once a day for a couple or so hours.

Any ideas?

@Rich, have you tried completely deleting and reinstalling the app?  If not, that's the first thing I would try.  Oftentimes if we see unusual behavior after an upgrade, a delete and reinstall will clear things up.  Please let me know if that doesn't make any difference for you and we will continue investigating.

Hello,

Friendcaster Pro is the best! But when I visit someone's profile, often only the bottom half of the profile picture is displayed (at the Info tab) example: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/268/snap20111213133426.png/  It would be great if you could make this picture scrollable, or clickable (resulting in the full-size pic) so I can see the faces of my friends. Thanks for listening!

@Oscar, we can look into this - basically when we call for the pic, we can't control how it's zoomed in the window, but we can see if being able to tap to call the full image might be possible.

Thanks for the suggestion and for using FriendCaster!

@Michael, there's a newer version in the Market currently, 4.1.4.2.  Have you tried completely deleting and reinstalling the latest version to see if that makes any difference?

Thank you

@Eric, uninstalled and downloaded the latest version from the market, 4.1.4.2. I have the same problem, the application runs for about 1 second and then it closes. Not sure why.

@Michael, do you receive a message asking you to send a crash report?  If you go into settings by tapping the gear icon and go to Advanced Settings, is Disable Crash Reporting checked or unchecked?

@Eric, under settings there is not an advanced button. I went through all the settings and cannot find the Crash Reporting toggle. I know it's turned on. I have had other apps crash and I have been asked if I want to send an error report. I can't find where you turn it on and off.

I found that if I press one gray buttons in the left menu very quickly before FriendCaster wants to crash the application does not shut down. In the second column, after pushing News Feeds, if I press System Updates, the app crashes. Atleast

@Michael (In regards to the crash reporting settings) When viewing your news feed in FriendCaster, please click in the far upper right corner on the 4 parallel lined icon and select "preferences".  Once in your preferences screen, please scroll to the bottom and select "advanced settings". Please make sure that you do not have "Disable Crash Reporting" checked. Underneath you will see "Reporting is enabled". If you continue to encounter issues please let us know.

Thanks,

Happy New Year! Love the app. I have ran into an issue since last pm. When you go to post on facebook through tweetcaster my posts didnt show. I then uninstalled the app(after three or four posts not showing) then reinstalled tweetcaster. The problem I get now is the "success" page. It just hangs there and doesnt redirect to post using FB. If I hit the home button and go back into the app the "F" is there but I have to enter my sign on again for FB.  I can post to twitter fine but would like to post both places as I normally would. Thx

@Bert F. Thanks for the post. We apologize for any inconvenience on the issue. Please let us know the model of cell phone you are using with TweetCaster so we can validate further with project management and QA on if it is related to Facebook and or Twitter API.

Thanks,

Friendcaster for Facebook (Android) is super fast… and I love the page swiping - so much easier than the cumbersome official FB. But the thing that will stop me from using it - let alone paying for Pro – is missing posts, comments… etc. in Newsfeed. I’ve read your “Missing posts or friends in Friendcaster”, but I really can’t believe these friends are all blocking Friendcaster…. I’ve compared Friendcaster Newsfeed with Newsfeed in other non-official Facebook apps such as FBM, FBX, and only Friendcaster has this problem.

One other thing, is it possible to have different sounds for notif. types... to separated the good stuff (messages) from the ordinary (likes)? Anyway, get Newsfeed sorted and I’ll use Friendcaster.
