It would be of immense help if you bring back the Apps2SD facility for Friendcaster for Facebook. Previously it existed, but was unavailable since the last update. Look into the matter.
We discovered some issues with the app when installed to the SD card, so this functionality has been temporarily disabled. Our development team do plan to restore this feature ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Really soon would be good! I'm almost constantly in a state where my memory is quite full now because of this. I've installed other apps on the basis of having free memory while the v3 release of Friendcaster Pro was installed on my phone and now, with the V4 release, it uses over 8MB of internal memory. I've had to uninstall useful apps just to keep FC on.
Some of the functionality of the app - contact sync for example - will not work if the app is installed to the SD card. The team are considering the option of allowing users to disable functions that won't work from the card, but we'll need to make sure that the app notifies users somehow - otherwise they will think things are broken that simply aren't compatible. The devs are mindful of the size of the app, but with the amount of functionality present in FriendCaster, it's indeed a sizable app.
FWIW I don't need ContactSync - had it switched off from the minute it was introduced to FC as it immediately filled my memory up! Obviously widgets won't work - anything else?
Yes, that was an unfortunate bug. It was fixed in the subsequent update later in the day, but inconvenienced many users and we're certainly sorry about that.
There are also photo issues when installed to the card. There are issues with how the app caches the photos resulting in images not appearing properly. Card support is definitely desired if it can be worked out in a way as to not impair functionality.
